How to Get Rid of Scars Naturally

Almost everyone has a scar they would rather not see. I’ve got a few from the chicken pox I had when I was 11, one from where I had to get stitches, a couple of red marks as reminders of all the pimples I have picked and let’s not forget the stretchmarks from gaining and losing weight over the years. Even though these scars have faded on their own, they are still a little unsightly. If you have scars from cuts, burns, scrapes, acne or even surgery, chances are nobody else is noticing them, but nonetheless, they can still make you feel self-conscious. While scars are inevitable, especially if you’re clumsy, there are many ways to get rid of scars naturally.

Types of scars and how to get rid of them naturally

Get rid of burn scars naturally

Burns cause skin cells to die. Damaged skin produces a protein called collagen to repair itself. As the skin heals, thickened, discoloured areas called scars form. Some scars are temporary and fade over time. Others are permanent.

Take a look at the image I received from one of our customers, who had the ill-fated experience of falling into an open fire pit while at a party. Her skin was exposed to the naked flame causing her to suffer from second degree burns.

She started making use of Propolis Care Honey Balm, which contains our natural base- beeswax, propolis honey and pollen, as well as avocado butter and sunflower oil. The combination of these ingredients, make it extremely moisturising and nourishing for the skin, helping to restore it to its former suppleness. Propolis also has natural antiseptic, antiviral and antibacterial properties, helping to keep the burn sterile and prevent any nasty infections. It is rich in antioxidants, which also speeds up the entire healing process and minimises scarring once the burn has healed.

After using our all in one healing balm for just two weeks, the burn has been completely healed. There is minimal scarring, with the exception of the loss of pigmentation, which will return to the skin naturally over time.

Get rid of acne scars naturally

How to heal acne naturally

If you’ve had acne, chances are that you have the scars to prove it. While it may be tempting to pick at your skin and squeeze your pimples, this will only worsen the situation, leaving you with angry red marks all over your face.

While traditional acne treatments such as Benzoyl peroxide help to rid the skin of oiliness, bacteria and infection, it is especially harsh and can leave your skin in an extremely dry and flaky condition.

Skip the severe treatments and choose natural instead. Propolis Care Propolis Tincture contains 50% ethanol to help dry out your acne, and restore balance to the skin. Propolis is also known for its wonderful antibacterial properties, helping to keep your skin clean and future breakouts at bay.

Once you have reduced the number of breakouts, you can focus on repairing your skin to its former glory. Honey is packed with vitamin A, C and E, which provide several benefits for your skin.

Vitamin A: helps to keep the skin healthy and promotes healing.

Vitamin C: is a source of energy that acts in four ways on your skin: antioxidant, regenerative, moisturizing, and revitalizing.  It is helpful in the healing process for all these reasons, and also by accelerating new skin cell production, along with the shedding of old cells.

Vitamin E: is known for its healing properties. It helps keep your skin healthy, soft, protected from the elements and relatively scar-free.

All Ultra Bee Brands contain both honey and propolis, making them suitable to heal all types of scars. For acne scars, we suggest using Propolis Care Propolis Balm with added ylang-ylang , which is known to regenerate scar tissue.

Heal Cuts and Wounds naturally

Cuts and scrapes are a normal part of everyday life. You would have to live in a bubble not to get cut at least once in your life. So once the blood is done gushing and it is nicely covered with a plaster, how would you ensure that it stays clean and heals properly?

Propolis is the answer you are looking for. You already know that propolis has antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. This makes it excellent for healing cuts and wounds in minimal time.  Propolis can be applied topically, which helps to regenerate skin and makes scars much less visible. The additional ingredients in the sore and wound balm are beeswax, which helps to give the body to the balm and keep it balm together, and avocado butter, which provides nourishment, locks in moisture and provides a protective barrier for the upper layer of the skin. The sore and would balm also contains bee pollen, which helps to reduce the redness and inflammation surrounding your scar and minimise its overall appearance.

Reduce the appearance of stretch marks naturally

Stretch marks occur when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching. Although the skin is usually fairly elastic, when it’s overstretched, the normal production of collagen (the major protein that makes up the connective tissue in your skin) is disrupted. As a result, scars called stretch marks may form. If you’re noticing stretch marks on your body, you’re not alone as most females have them. They usually occur in the abdomen area, the breasts, outer thighs, buttocks, thighs and upper arms.

At first, stretch marks may show up as reddish or purplish lines that can look indented and have a different texture from the skin around them. Stretch marks often turn lighter and almost disappear over time.

While you cannot make stretch marks completely disappear, there are ways to lighten them and make their appearance less visible. One way to do this is with Naked Belief Tissue Oil. It contains a very powerful ingredient – rosehip oil.

Rosehip oil is a lightweight, non-greasy oil full of essential fatty acids that improve skin strength and elasticity. It’s noted as the best source of trans-retinoic acid, a natural form of vitamin A that encourages the skin to regenerate faster.

Because of the regenerative properties of rosehip, this essential oil also makes it a great choice for helping to minimize the appearance of stretch marks.
